Before you start, understand that this is an independent, unofficial demo. The scoring and collection rules here are specific to this free version. Always verify current terms directly with ZA9 if you decide to play on their main platform later.
Proper divisors and the score
Let u(n) be the sum of the positive divisors of n smaller than n. For example, u(6)=1+2+3=6 and u(1)=0. The score is S=|u(a)−2u(b)+u(c)|. Its global minimum is 0, so subtracting that minimum leaves S unchanged.
What Malaysian Players Must Check
Since ZA9 is not a licensed Malaysian operator, you should be cautious. Gambling laws in Malaysia are strict, and most local operators are not fully regulated under national law. While this demo is free, real-money versions may vary. Always check if ZA9 accepts Touch 'n Go eWallet or DuitNow for deposits, as these are the most common local methods. You can verify this by visiting the official ZA9 website and looking at their cashier or payment section. Also, confirm whether they accept MYR for real-money play, though this demo uses virtual currency. For safety, ensure you are using a secure connection and check the site’s footer for any listed licensing information, which may be from a foreign jurisdiction. Remember, this demo does not involve real financial risk.
- Check if Touch 'n Go eWallet or DuitNow is supported for real deposits.
- Verify if the site displays a valid gambling licence, often from outside Malaysia.
- Confirm if MYR is the primary currency for real-money play.
Three reward weights
Linear uses S, Square uses S² and Cube uses S³. With power p=1, 2 or 3, the live gross quote is 0.97 × E[Sᵖ | revealed bits] / E[Sᵖ]. The power applies to terminal scores before averaging; it does not square or cube a finished Linear quote. The quote begins at ×0.97 and can rise, fall or reach zero.
Choose before starting
Choose 10, 20, 50 or 100 play coins; the default is 20. Select the reward weight and turn automatic collection off or choose ×1.25, ×1.75 or ×2.50. Starting deducts one stake. Stake and mode controls, balance restoration and a second round are locked until settlement.
Collection and event order
Manual collection first processes any reveals already due, then collects the surviving current quote. Automatic collection settles at the first quote at or above its threshold, using that quote. Zero resolves first at the same event, with no return; an earlier automatic settlement is unaffected by a later zero. Step 12 collects a surviving quote if the round has not ended.
Whole coins and fractional carry
Settlement credits floor(stake × collected quote + saved carry). The part below one coin is saved for the next settlement. For a stake of 20, quote ×1.25 and carry 0.4, the credit is 25 coins and the carry remains 0.4. A zero-return round leaves existing carry unchanged. This is a gross return, including any stake returned, rather than pure profit.
What a reload preserves
Balance, including zero, and fractional carry are saved in browser localStorage. Reloading an unfinished round keeps the stake deducted and gives no refund, payout or resume. Controls return to stake 20, Linear and Auto off. Saved carry survives a reload and balance restoration.
Frequently asked questions
How can I restore play coins?
A new wallet begins with 1,000 play coins. When idle with fewer than 10 coins, the restoration button sets the balance to exactly 1,000. It requires a click, does not add 1,000 to the old balance and does not erase fractional carry. The coins have no cash value.
Can an unfinished round resume after reload?
Balance, including zero, and fractional carry are saved in browser localStorage. Reloading an unfinished round keeps the stake deducted and gives no refund, payout or resume. Controls return to stake 20, Linear and Auto off. Saved carry survives a reload and balance restoration.
Does clearing cached files remove the wallet?
The demo saves balance and fractional carry in localStorage. Cached files and localStorage are different: clearing cached images and files may leave these values intact. Clearing this site’s localStorage removes the saved wallet values. There is no demo account from which to recover them.
Is ZA9 legal in Malaysia?
Gambling is tightly restricted by national law in Malaysia. ZA9 may operate under a foreign licence, but it is not licensed by the Malaysian government. This demo is free and does not involve real money, so it is generally low-risk, but always check the official site for current terms.
Can I win real money in this demo?
No. This is a virtual-coin demo. Any coins won cannot be converted to cash or withdrawn. To play for real money, you would need to deposit using methods like Touch 'n Go eWallet or DuitNow, but that is separate from this free demo.
